American doctor draws comics on surgical bandages to prevent children from being scared by surgical scars

According to the British "Metropolis News" reported on January 21, Dr. Robert Parry from Akron Children's Hospital in Ohio, the United States, will always draw a cartoon character on the children's bandages after the operation, When the children wake up, they will not be scared by the scars.

Dr. Parry has been working in this hospital since 2011 and has performed more than 10,000 operations. He likes painting very much, from Disney characters to sports team logos, and once he even painted a French salad cruet. Although it only takes five minutes for each painting, this is of great significance to the patient.

In 2014, Samantha Manning brought her 11-month-old daughter to perform liver surgery. Dr. Parry had surgery on her and drew a rose garden on her gauze, which made the little girl happy, and Samantha was moved by it. Another time, Dr. Parry told Kennedy, who was about to undergo surgery, that she would get a lovely butterfly after the operation. Kennedy was proud of the beautiful bandage, so she didn't care about the scars.
